I think "Prince Wednesday" is an amazing name. It's like what Michael Jackson & Prince would name their love child. The name is completely nonsensical in its fabulousness. |
| I think DT is fine. My only issue with the show is that DD has taken to crawling around on the floor saying, "Meow, meow." Why she has chosen the emulate the most annoying character on that show I will never know. |

Wait... best song is:
Clothes on, eat bfast, brush teeth, put on shoes and offff toOo school. And Bath time, pjs, brush teeth, story and song, and offf toOo bed! Has been sung in my house regularly for 5 years. 2 kids. Newborn kid doesn't know, but he'll sing it too!! Cutest ever was 1yo (the 2nd child) suddenly knowing the whole nighttime song. |
|
Ha, my almost-3-year-old has been very into DT for the last year or so and always sings all the songs. She thinks it's hilarious when I sing them too. But yes the characters are really bratty sometimes.
Hoping the early Margaret episodes will help DD when she gets a new baby sister in a few months! |

The most disturbing thing about Daniel Tiger are the curtains in his house.

In Mister Rogers' world it's logical because the prince's dad's name was King Friday the Thirteenth. My youngest are teens, so I'm spared having to watch any kids shows. We do watch Caillou sometimes to MST3K it, though. There's no bigger bundle of neuroses than Caillou. |
| You're missing the point of the show. Daniel Tiger is a typical 3-5 year old. His reactions are supposed to be similar to how the audience children react. For them, his reactions should be familiar. Even if they are more reticent and don't say it, many of them think like that or might react like that. The parents and teachers then guide him and teach him how to act appropriately for the situation. Daniel Tiger is a surrogate for the child watching and they can watch the show and learn as Daniel learns. They learn the right way to handle situations without being taught or reprimanded themselves, but learn from Daniel's experiences. It's very cleverly done which is why it is so popular with the preschooler set. They feel very close to Daniel Tiger because he reacts they way they would. |
I'd never admit this in real life but I find that Baby Margaret is so freaking adorable |
Oh I know- I love baby Margaret! |
| We love DT. Especially The Clean Up Song: Clean up, pick up, put away...Clean up, everyday! Use this as a reminder all the time. So many great lessons. RIP Fred Rogers. |
| How funny, I don't find Daniel to be whiny. In fact, he's too good. What real kid is as good as Daniel? |
Are you dumb? He's King Friday's son and Prince Tuesday's brother. |
| I agree. It's an annoying show. Peppa FTW! |
| And here's one for you, you messed up 95 percent of DCUM--all constantly envying this or that. When you feel jealous TALK about it...we'll figure somethinggg outtt.... |
