Is Trump going to resign?

I think he's going to resign. But, I also think Mr. Art of the Deal is going to negotiate the best exit package possible. Pardons, etc. But also, ongoing SS protection for his kids, government payment for use of his properties to protect him, etc. At Camp David, there is no media to see who shows up.
I am also beginning to think he knew exactly what he did Tuesday, and did it to leverage Pence and the GOP for the best possible deal.

FWIW, my CNN scroll says Corker just followed Graham and McCain in slamming Trump personally. It's end times.

Pence isn't leaving, because Trump can't fire Pence. He can only be impeached. At this point, it would probably help Pence to refuse to resign if asked.

CNN is very fake news.

How/why would he resign? He won't unless he can save face and give himself a forum for plausible, in his mind, deniability.

Trump....

I am resigning because of the relentless, senseless and vitriolic attack that is adversely affecting my family and because I want America to succeed. With what has been happening they aren't going to allow what so many in our nation wanted me to accomplish be successful. So, because I love this great nation and being proud of what we were able to accomplish in spite of.....

Next focus on Pence. Lie. Next comes Ryan. Continue until you find someone you can deal with, i.e. BRING BACK HILLARY.

Reality? Trump has a rally coming up in Phoenix.

Its conceivable Pence did something impeachable, but very unlikely. Ryan, its virtually impossible. Line of succession stops at Pence or at least Ryan. There it stays, till 2020.

Don't know about the Pence statement but the Corker thing is all over.

I very much doubt that trumpski will ever resign. He is not a normal person and we cannot expect him to do the things a rational thoughtful and ethical person would besides which he has no shame and likely wpnt know when he is beaten. Its going to b a long and arduous fight to rid ourselves of him and more importantly the systemic problems many people have in this country that allowed this diabolical man to b elected.

Pence made a statement on Barcelona. I am a liberal and a Democrat, but I appreciate the appropriate things President Pence said.

Are liberals always this delusional or only when it comes to Trump?

I can't believe the claptrap that has been posted on this thread.

you guys are really nuts. I hate Trump but no way will he quit. He doesn't like quitters. He is way too narcissistic to quit.

But, the possibility of impeachment is getting closer:

http://www.newsweek.com/trump-just-six-senate-votes-away-impeachment-651857

"Conviction requires two-thirds of the Senate and by my count there are already twelve senators who have shown a willingness to take on the president when they believe he is in the wrong.

If you add that to the forty-eight Democrats in the Senate (who have shown no inclination to work with this President), Donald Trump could be six votes away from conviction in the Senate....

On average, since the Truman Era, a president’s party loses more than 28 House seats in his first midterm election. (In 2018, Democrats need to pick up 24 seats to win back the House.)"

Oh FFS. Which is more likely? CNN makes random shit up, or Trump makes random shit up? Nevermind...

Corker' statement:

http://www.npr.org/2017/08/17/544230949/gop-senator-trump-lacking-stability-competence-to-succeed

Pence:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/the-latest-trump-condemns-barcelona-attack-offers-us-help/2017/08/17/4657aa80-837a-11e7-9e7a-20fa8d7a0db6_story.html?utm_term=.07b8c58d7264

Note in the story above that Trump, who we are all supposed to believe, reported a widely discredited antidote about shooting Muslims with bullets dipped in pigs blood. So a lie and bigotry. Winning!

This article was originally published by Brookings - a liberal think tank. What they have done is to name any senator who has been critical of any aspect of Trump's policies or remarks and decided that senator will vote to remove Trump. Totally delusional.

What matters to most politicians is whether their vote will impact their chances of reelection and if these senators moved to remove Trump his supporters would turn on them and they would be history.

Trump's supporters? The Trump endorsed candidate for the Alabama Senate Seat was forced into a runoff. Gillespie has embraced Trump, and it will probably cause him to lose the VA Governors race. Trump almost lost the GA House seat for the R-- and Trump was a lot more popular then.

No. Nothing to see here, because she's just a grandma now, and will never be POTUS, no matter what. The ability of the right to distract from Trump with Benghazi! Emails! is over. Gotta sink or swim on your own merits. And Trump is pulling the whole party down.
