| Good grief. It is a charger. Get a grip. |
What would you be doing in the family rooms of airbnb's that you don't want recorded, PP? I don't want you in my Airbnb either! |
But first I need a replacement charger. |
People manufacture a lot of outrage. It must be exhausting. |
| scuzzy people |
|
It's odd that you assume it's stolen. If that happened, I would assume we lost it in our house somewhere.
Whose kids used the charger? It might have been the kid who took it with their game without thinking. |
Did you read the OP? She has security camera footage of her SIL taking it and putting it in her purse. |
Honest question...is it legal to record people like that when they are using your property through a service like Airbnb? Sounds like a violation of privacy. |
Same here. Especially in private area so like the bathroom or bedroom. No way. |
Walk in partial or total states of undress, have a private conversation, among many other things. The same normal things people do in private in hotels and rental accommodations. Who would ever approve of a hotel installing cams in their rooms or a leasing company installing them in their apartments? This is so stupid, of course you cannot do this, guests have a reasonable expectation of privacy (unlike nannies who are working, for those bringing up nanny-cams) and you are breaking the law. |
|
Assuming all is as OP presents it, SIL has a problem. That sucks.
It's creepy to record family and friends in your home. It is handy that it solved the charger mystery, but at what cost? I'd expect people to decline invitations to your house. |
Are you sure the canary isn't lying? |
| Wait, so you record your AirBnB renters???? |
You walk around undressed in the family room? You are weird. |
Of course not. The same way it's not illegal to set up a nanny-cam. |
