My male supervisor stares at my chest

Then the first couple of times she caught him, she would put her hand in front of her chest, point her finger like a gun at his face and give her hand a small quick jerk back like a gun firing. Her sign that he was caught. The first time or two he changed his gaze quickly to something else. Within a couple of days, she had broken him of this habit without having to make a big stink about it.

I'm pretty sure that the definition of "making a big stink out of it" includes instances where one is told blank to stop, threatened with HR action, and having a finger gun pointed at his with finger trigger pulled.

I'm not saying the woman was wrong in any way, but that is indeed a big stink!

She spoke to him privately and politely and told him that his glances at her chest made her uncomfortable and she didn't want to have to make a big deal about it; that was my projection of what she said. Then when she caught him glancing, she did the finger deal. I apologize; I mis-characterized her saying she would take it to HR, she didn't.

but

I still do it. 50 years of life and I still get a tingle when looking at women's breasts.

What I don't get is that women can wear a shirt that does a peek a boo, or have cleavage on display, and the small line that drops away under clothes, and I am not supposed to notice, but I just always take a peek. I notice you ladies, every man does.

so while I know I shouldn't do this. I do it all the time.

As a guy, I'll disagree. Only some guys are wired to really be that attracted to breasts. Every guy is different. I'm much more attracted to different body parts, and I have no problem not looking at a woman's breasts. And for the record, I don't stare at those other body parts either unless I'm somewhere where people watching is common.
