Private & Independent Schools
Oops - I meant to quote the original poster that made the comment about the "fat mom with mental problems." That is the kind of comment that I have never heard anyone make. |
Amazing that you can do anything else what with staying on top of every single utterance ever made by other parents at your school. |

I love you guys, but...
Did you notice that the first obnoxious poster ("I'm happy my kids got in and yours didn't") prefaced her post with the words "Troll Alert"? Plus in her next post she says she's "probably" watching us losers from her corner office. In other words, no way is she doing this, she's probably typing from the computer in the basement of her tiny house because you can't fit a computer desk next to the sofa on the first floor. IMO she's just parodying the type of snotty private school mom that we all love, rightly, to hate. Although I have to say that when some of you rose to the bait, either she or some nasty wannabe (and therefore pathetic) troll jumped right in with the post about the private schools preferring the fat mom over the rest of us snarky moms. |
| Maybe she's the mom who invited people to let her insult them on the "Off Topic" thread. Her control-freak approach put people off there, so maybe she's looking for greener pastures here? |
| Wrong again! She's the mom looking at FOUR (count 'em) acceptance letters and gloating that you entitled pieces of dog poop are still UPSET in mid-July about your rejections. |
|
If she's still looking at acceptance letters and gloating in July, she's as effed up as the people still whining about rejection letters.
These are momentary setbacks/triumphs -- any reaction's fair game for the first week and so is expressing it publicly. Months later, either way, you should have moved on. And if you haven't, there's something perverse about wanting to broadcast that fact. |
Yup, acceptance letters to all four of the reform schools that her DC applied to. Well, if your kid's a hard case, then reform schools are the place! |
Sorry troll, I won't play with you. You're sad and pathetic. |
But still going to my TOP choice...
Nice chatting... loooooozer!!!!

better than the DCPS where your kids will be in Sept. |

Ah, how easy it is to make up lies and post them anonymously on the web! Loser.... |

We were actually having an interesting discussion about whether schools should make admissions data available, before that troll with an IQ of 2 (no way her kids got into decent schools, or maybe she's an admissions officer?) derailed it.
There seemed to be two points of view: (1) yes, schools should tell you your odds up front, and last year's data are close enough to be helpful. (2) telling you the odds might discourage some families from applying, also the data change from year to year. I'm all for more transparency, mostly because I don't like the cost to disappointed families in terms of how they view their kids and their family in the aftermath of a rejection that may not be the kid's fault. Also, I think the number of disappointed families probably is larger than the number of families who would be dissuaded from applying. I'd like to see this particular conversation continue, it's interesting. |
