Top Gun! |
Perhaps you missed the YouTube video of the 13 year old who failed at purchasing a lottery tickets and cigarettes, but successfully bought a rifle at a gun show. |
Already posted. |
I heart you!

BBC is reporting that no one (except the attacker) was shot but some were affected by the tear gas released by police.

How does that equate to "random crazies" buying guns? Is this kid a member of the jr nra, is he shooting rifles at boy scout camp - they all do, dont they? Your point makes zero sense as the average 13 year old cannot go and purchase a gun. One you tube video isn't the end all be all. |
Looks like he went to a gun show and there weren't any questions asked... |
Are you disputing that background checks aren't required at gun shows? What's to stop anyone from buying a gun at one, crazy or not? |
Your "explanation" is very simple, Euro PP. Federal firearm licensees must report multiple sales of guns to ATF w/in five business days. Multiple = two or more States bordering Mexico has more stringent monitoring. And you're calling people in the US dumb? I hope you're not trying to represent ALL Europeans b/c my family members in Europe would be embarrassed by you. Do some research before you post. |

Why say "Mass shooting" when this is clearly not a shooting? We really don't need MORE hysteria, OP.
BTW, there is a squirt gun contest in DC on July 9. Is this also a mass shooting event? |
The gun show loophole... Ah. You're using one example of a 13 year old buying a rifle (not an assualt weapon) as a catch all to theorize this happens all the time and anywhere. You are wrong. ANYONE can exchange guns or gives a gun to someone. Federally licensed dealers must run background checks. 1. Federally licensed gun sellers are required to run background checks. But not all sellers are required to be licensed. Some of those unlicensed sellers sell at gun shows. 2. This is not a gun-show issue - it can happen any where. 3. I guarantee that just because this kid couldn't buy lottery tickets or cigs that other teens CAN and DO. I am not pro-gun, but I still say this one example being held to the standard of what happens in our country is a little ridiculous. Most guns used in mass shootings are purchased LEGALLY and most assailants have mental illness or some sort. Showing ONE 13 yr old can purchase a gun proves what in regards to mass shootings in america? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/jan/07/politifact-sheet-3-things-know-about-gun-show-loop/ |
Uh, yes they can - just purchase from a private seller at a gun show or buy it on the net. just like that - no check. Further, even if there is a check, so many, many cracks in that system. http://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2016/06/17/482483537/semi-automatic-weapons-without-a-background-check-can-be-just-a-click-away And more info about our laws: http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2015/12/4/9850572/gun-control-us-japan-switzerland-uk-canada |
It proves it's way to freaking easy to buy a gun in America. Which is kind of the bottom line here. |
You have clearly never been to a gun show in real life. Have you. Be honest. |

Germany has tough gun laws.
This is why the guy didn't have an assault rifle and massive amounts of fatalities did not happen. This is the take-home message that nobody (including the media) seems to address. |
