Good idea. Adjust your income. Also feel free to move to the Cayman Islands. No one is stopping you. |
"As for the war..seems like it continues and it's nice now to be anti war now that we have had years of peace thanks to proactively keeping the fighting over there rather than here and eight years of it cost less than a strike of a pen for what Obama did in a few months."
How dare you say we've had "years of peace." Tell that to the young men and women who are right now out at Walter Reed, trying to figure out how to walk without a leg or deal with their latest skin graft surgery. Haven't you noticed that over 4,000 Americans have died and who knows how many innocent Iraqis? All because we started a war in Iraq that was justified to the American people based on the lie that Iraq had something to do with 9/11. As if this has somehow prevented another terrorist attack. AS IF. Anyone who still makes this ridiculous argument is just mentally deficient. My brother is a U.S. Marine and spent a good amount of time getting shot at in the streets of Ramadi, Iraq. He does not think he prevented anything. He just thinks they sat around and got shot at for no reason and accomplished nothing. He came to stay with me when they buried his buddy at Arlington National Cemetery. It made me sick. What a waste of a life, and for nothing. NOTHING. His friend's death did not keep this country safe. His death just destroyed his mother, left his 3 young children to fend in life without a father and his wife to manage without a husband. I suppose you consider WWII to have been a "time of peace" in the US because other than Pearl Harbor there was no fighting on US soil. Vietman, Korea, WWI, all times of peace, according to you. The very fact that you would say that we have had years of peace shows how little understanding you have of anything at all other than what is in your own wallet, and how any opinion you have on anything is worth absolutely zero. |
There's a semi-literate troll here riling y'all up. He or she is probably in high school. Please ignore these posts.
Obama is correct that we need to find some common ground and start working out our differences from there. |
Common ground is nice and all but it's just words..look at his actions. He is a left wing nut. Where is Hilary when you need her? |
Troll. |
If you were truly left alone, you would never have had the opportunity to make this money you are so protective of. You think it's all due to your hard work and initiative? Don't kid yourself. In most countries of the world, you would be struggling to pay for basic necessities. Hard work, smarts, and initiative get you nowhere if you don't live in a country that provides opportunity. So just suck it up and accept that relatively reasonable taxes is part of the package. |
No we are moving toward countries that have no opportunity because we now have a government that penalizes innovation and hardwork. Apparently pp doesn't own a business so has no idea what it is like to create something and then be attacked for it and told that you should pay more taxes. Good for Californians to finally get a clue and say no to government expansion. |
BY the way..look for California, despite the electorate there or the voting electorate, saying no finally to government expansion..it will be too late and look for the news that the US government will soon be bailing them out. At some point we won't have enough tax dollars for all these handouts. Arnold should grow a pair and cut spending drastically in all areas of the government and see what services the people really mix and which ones don't make that big a deal. |
We'll see Stalin reincarnated any day now! |
Wrong. Done it twice. I don't whine about it, though. |
Don't believe that you own a business or if you do that you were successful ..or had actual employees..because you would understand how sensitive businesses are to tax implications and how close margins can make or break a business. |
Business is sensitive to all sorts of things, in ways that vary from business to business. Taxes are but one factor in the complex equation that determines whether the profit margin will keep the business alive. And the fate of marginal businesses is just one factor in the effect of taxes on the country as a whole. Inflating those to the point where government is viewed as the enemy of business is a vast oversimplification. I say that, even though I know that it is anathema in this country to attack religion, and the dogma that Tax is The Devil is a major tenet of the Reaganite Faith. |
God bless Reagan--he cleaned up the mess left by Jimmy "I'm a wacko" Carter. |
Wrong. My biggest business had a staff of 150. Do you actually think that everyone who has run a business must agree with you? FWIW, Warren Buffett completely disagrees with you. So why can't I? |
I flat out don't believe you. sorry. Warren Buffet is a nut and it's interesting that now that he really doesn't care about other people wanting to be rich, he has taken on this sort of left wing position. Bill Gates has a similiar attitude--back when he was building Microsoft he was all about good business. |
