| You have to force yourself to be a morning person. I get up at 5:30 and work out from 6-7:15 at the gym, home by 7:30 . I work out twice during the week and once on the weekends hell or high water. If I can get in a run or something on the second weekend day that's nice. I do an intense full body program so I don't need to be in the gym much more than that. |
| Up at 5 for barre three days a week, rotate with my husband, work out at night the other two days. We rotate child care for 2 kids. |
| I have an hour-long commute so I started getting off the train two stops earlier and walking the rest of the way to work. It takes about 15 minutes and if I get to the train on time, it still usually takes an hour. I take an exercise class one weeknight at 8:00 pm and one Saturday morning class at 11:00 wher I can bring my kids if I need to. I am thinking about adding in a run on Sunday mornings. |
That is very impressive
|
| For me, I have set times each day of the week: Wednesday is before work, Monday, tues, thursday are after work. Then I have a long saturday morning gym session and run on sunday. Kids are little but exercise is one of the things I make non negotiable in our routine. |
| I work out twice a week at the gym near my office (not at lunchtime - whenever it fits my schedule and my trainer's) and run three other times a week. Two of those runs occur between 6:30, when I get one kid out the door, and 7:45 when the second one leaves for school. The third run, the long one, is usually on Sundays. |

Lately I have been too busy to work out at lunch, so I think it is fair for me to answer ?
I work out in my basement after my son goes to bed. This means 9 or 9:30 at night, which means I do not go to bed until midnight. It sucks. Every once in a while I can convince my son to exercise in exchange for screen time and we put on a timer and for 30 minutes we scream out things like march in place, jumping jacks, etc. it's better than nothing. |
| 5:30 am to 6:30am every morning in my basement. I have a treadmill, elliptical, and weights. |
| I must be making coffee and packing lunches by 5 in order to have everything done and kids assisted, myself fully ready in professional gear for a 6:45 departure for the carpool I drive. So since I cannot be working out at 4am (too early for me, makes me feel sick later), I must work out in the evenings. I attend a HIIT/weights class every evening at 6:45. Family dinner impossible these nights but it is for the best, for now. I feel great. Sleep great. Look pretty good. I am with my kids 4:30- 6:30, then back at 7pm for the goodnights and cuddles. |
+1 Save that I do the elliptical/run at the local gym that opens at 5am most days. Yoga at night. |
| In the evening after kids are in bed -- typically I start exercising @9-9:30pm. |
|
I have to be at work by 7:15. I had one year when I was good at getting up and going to the gym at 5:00, but I find that I feel rushed and irritated at work when I get up that early.
Now I work out both weekdays, cardio and strength training, and do 1-2 additional days during the week--if I get out of work on time, I do cardio and strength, but if it is later I just do a quick cardio session. I also have a martial arts class I attend, but it isn't a reliable full 30 minutes of cardio during the class. |
what time do you go to bed? |
I do a short workout in my office, just after I arrive. I keep clothes and weights in my office. Then, luckily, my DH cooks dinner. When I arrive home, I do another short workout while he makes dinner. I can nag DS while working out

Go to bed @11:30pm; up at 6:45am. |
