How many times you went to the gym last year

I'm the pp above you and I really think that girls that played sports throughout their youth/HS have an advantage. The exercise mentality just becomes part of life. I know many naturally skinny girlfriends that only tried to make regular exercise habits after giving birth or in their 40s when they started packing on pounds. It really is much harder if it was never part of your life. I have sons, but if I had daughters I would really get them into doing active, physical stuff (I am a biggie of team sports for girls self-esteem) at a young age.

Just wanted to add my boys play sports--but it just is a natural thing for the majority of them. Many girls ditch them by middle school.

Zero. (And used to be high school/college athlete.) Same as last year.

No time with two kids (now 2 & almost 4) and busy FT job.

What's surprising is that I don't really miss it or notice a big difference. I still walk a lot (commute), am active with the kids, outside much of the weekends. I think I will try to add back some yoga and weights this year (i.e. can do at home), but not really interested in getting back to gym workouts.

+1 I just *don't* have the self-discipline to go to the gym several times a week and push myself. Luckily, there's a group of women at my gym that works out to Focus T25 four times a week and I go religiously. Love it!
