There must be hotel bars with music and dancing. |
Am I the only person who finds posts like this amusing? Must be my advanced age. |
Join a country club. Seriously. They're full of older folks (as well as younger people!). It's where the older men with money hang out. |
Lol |
This is a great suggestion, for stodgy Republican types. The tough thing is being a left-wing, artsy former punk rock oldster, looking for someplace not stodgy, but not all 21 year olds. |
Meaning, you're an old guy with no money? |
And that you're a younger person with no class? |
LOL, no, I'm not even a guy. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers. |
I'm 29 and I can't even go to "da club" these days anymore. Props to you guys |
I thought Clydes in Tysons Corner attracted a large 50+ crowd on Friday nights. |
I used to be into clubs/bars, but I realized after around 30 that: (a) paying to get into a club was stupid; (b) paying 3-4x for a drink was stupid; (c) women were there to get free drinks and ego boosts; (d) the DJs were far less talented than they thought they were; (e) I hate crowds; and (f) I wasn't going to meet my future spouse (now married) at a club/bar. Honestly, I can't see why at age 50+ I would suddenly want to go back to bars/clubs. Perhaps a wine bar or two with quality music. |
When I lived in Richmond I noticed that bars and clubs always had a good mix of ages, from 20 to 50s and up. It was great to not always be the oldest person in the room. |
Umm 29 here old here who DOES club. I never pay to get into a club. I refuse. I'm normally there with my DH and don't get free drinks. I love crowds and am just there to dance. |
What are all you 29 year olds doing posting in Over 50? Get off our lawn! (Unless you have some good club suggestions.) |
I like you. |
