| Oh god lord what is happening? No need to have one bathroom for the confused. Go with your private parts are. Once you reach 18 you can decided. Enough. |
| We had coed bathrooms in my dorm at college. All the toilets had stalls and the showers had individual curtains. It was really convenient. |
NEWS FLASH: Some girls' stalls don't even have doors, let alone locks. |
| Can a male teacher piss right where a girl needs to poop? |

OK people. Here's what I think they are talking about. They are talking about having one toilet bathrooms that lock for transgender individuals. This is not about having girls and boys go into bathrooms together at the same time. The problem is that the transgendered person does not feel comfortable going into the bathroom that matches the person's parts, yet cannot go in the bathroom for the sex that the person identifies with. The solution is to have a "unisex" one toilet room that the person can go in, lock the door, and use the toilet. I hope you can all stop being hysterical now. |
If you don't "feel comfortable," get a shrink. There's help for you. |
| This is ridiculous. There are not huge numbers of transgendered people in FCPS. Regardless of Bruce Jenner. Why do we need a policy and construction projects (and $) for this. |
Because the Fairfax County School Board believes it's more important to make transgenders feel comfortable in the restroom, than it is to educate its students. |
It's probably only a couple single toilet bathrooms per school. I'm sure they waste a lot more than the cost of that at Gatehouse. |
No clue. |
I cannot speak for "people" as a collective, but here's one person who is ok with it. |
It is like the Family bathrooms that were installed in the Rec centers. I do not have a problem with them. For many schools it will involve a sign in front of a bathroom that already exists. |
Oh, stop being all sane and reasonable when people are trying to be OUTRAGED!!! |
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. |

I think this is great. Do you know how transgendered who are biologically male, but life as females would be treated in a high school? Sexual assaults happen...extreme bullying happens.
Hell, was different -- a nerd -- and I was physically assaulted in the mens locker room in high school. (while the coach watched). |
