Perhaps she could work as a paralegal?

I failed 4 including the other states. It's a mind / confidence now. She knows more law now than any attorney practicing. I guarantee it!

Are you serious? Memorizing legal tests is not the same as knowing the law. And I would never hire an attorney that I knew had failed the bar multiple times. Once can be bad luck or a bad day, but it is absolutely a lack of intelligence after multiple fails.

Are you a lawyer? Do you even know what you're talking about?

Another field. Stat. Bad law school. Bad grades. Can't pass bars. Not a lawyer!

I highly doubt that.

So if she really wants to be a lawyer, it's possible, but it's probably not worth it.

Cooley always gets a bad name but the majority of grads from there know more law upon graduating, than those that went to top tier schools.

Tons of people with JDs don't practice law formally. So, there's nothing precluding her from getting a job. But I suppose most have passed the bar. I passed the bar right out of law school but took a policy job so I don't officially practice. Maybe pursue a non legal policy or advocacy job at a nonprofit or government? Or look into jobs at a state or local bar association?

She is running in to trouble becuase she has no real skill set for which people will hire her and a huge gap in her resume. I think she would eagerly do the contracts or compliance for a company or the government but I don't think she could get one of those jobs. She can't even seem to get doc review jobs. She lives in DC with her parents who support her but aren't wealthy so can't pay off her loans and don't have connections for her.

She needs to get a federal government job ASAP. Get into the public loan forgiveness program. Use the income continent repayment option which should be very low (maybe even 0) if she starts at a gs 9 or lower. 10 years and the fed loans are forgiven.

Can she go into patent law? The USPTO comes to mind, though I have heard people complain the work is not exciting.

Because you are dumb. Anybody with any sense can tell the bar exam has nothing to do with the practice of law.

If she is hot there are options there, ranging from dancing/escort work to being the SAH wife to a powerful man.

Can she get certified to teach public school? If she goes through an alternative certification program, they will pay for the classes she needs to get certified, so she doesn't need to take out more loans. Many school districts will count her law degree as a doctorate for teacher salary purposes, and every district in the DC area has a bunch of teachers with JDs. Plus, she would eventually qualify for loan forgiveness.

I honestly think she should look into becoming an expat, working abroad, and defaulting.

What is wrong with you?!
