You realize she is having transgender issues? She is called John, only wears and plays with boy toys. It is a little different than not wanting to wear a dress.

This is ridiculous. It's a wedding. She needs to learn to suck it up and wear something she doesn't love to be appropriate for the occasion. Or stay home.

Find an appropriate dress or skirt set in a soft fabric that isn't constricting or itchy.

Well, at least it took until p. 3 for a "She's a girl, so she has to wear a dress!" poster to show up.

I think girls can look appropriate for a formal occasion in nice pants and a dressy blouse. Pantsuits exist, as do formal evening separates, so I think pants are an option for ladies' formal dress except if the dress code specifically states otherwise. It's not as though the OP is suggesting allowing the child to wear jeans or something.

She doesn't have to wear a dress but the OP is shooting down other reasonable suggestions as well.

When I got married, my mother in law asked if it was okay if a friend of hers wore a pants suit to the wedding. I thought it was the weirdest question -- I was like "She's a guest -- she can wear whatever she wants! If she's asking will most women wear dresses, the answer is probably yes, but that doesn't mean she has to!"

There were many women in dress pant suits or dress paints, glitzy top at my wedding. I think the OP trying to get a man's tux is a little strange unless her DD only wears boys clothes.

black pants and a dressy shirt is just fine.

Since OP knows her daughter, and we don't, I think that OP is the best qualified to judge whether a suggestion will work.

OP, what does your DD usually wear?

That is not appropriate for a formal wedding. Black skinny jeans?

The blaze is way too casual. But the top is cute and would work with black skinny pants. A cute vest would be better than a jacket I think.

She's adorable. And I think she's a very lucky kid to have Brangelina for parents. They clearly let this kid be this kid.
