do you have to apply to your IB school? Or do you just automatically get in there without doing anything?

I'm not applying at all. I'm a writer.

I'm not applying at all. I'm a zoologist.

(How is you being a writer relevant here. Unless you are writing about the lottery, information which you did not include).

Isn't that implied you bozo? Get back to the zoo.

No, it's not implied. I know plenty of writers and none of them would have reason to do research here. PP needed to elaborate (if that's what she meant) and not just state that she is a writer.

PLEASE NOTE:
We are experiencing technical difficulties with the application at this time. We have identified the problem and are working to resolve it. Please try accessing the application at a later time. If you have started or submitted an application, it will not be affected. Remember: The My School DC lottery is a random lottery so there is no advantage to applying early.

I didn't have any trouble.

Yes, it must be in your list of 12. How you rank it is up to you.

So for 6th grade, we automatically get into IB school? Without doing this lottery?

You can enroll anytime (even after the first day of school has started).

But it is in your own interest to enroll as early as you can, so the school can plan for the right number of teachers, etc.
