What is the best strategy to fight ISIL/Al Qaeda/Taliban/Boko Haram/Al-Shabaab etc

Clearly you don't know what a fatwa is.

The two largest Muslim-American groups, ISNA and CAIR, unequivocally denounced terrorism.

Do they denounce the stoning of women?

And, what do they consider as the “rights” of women?

The Klan is gone. You don't hear about them on CNN because they don't behead children, or rape women, or sell women to other men in the Klan, or put heads on a stick, or enlist other children from round the world for suicide bombings.

I don't think the Klan is totally gone, but I do agree with the rest of your statement.

Sorry I have to correct the record here. The Klan burned people alive. They drug them from chains on the back of trucks. They definitely raped. They kill children. They have cut off men's genitals. Have you ever seen a human being slow roasted on a spit? Thank the Klan for an image that I can't erase from my head, ever.

The difference is that we in America have stopped them. Whenever they do something horrible, the state police and the Feds crack down. Morris Dees and the SPLC file suits to bankrupt them. And if necessary, thousands of national guardsmen come out. The difference is that they are less successful and our government protects us. They are no less evil.

If a Muslim protests and Fox doesn't cover it, did they make a sound...

There is a huge difference between making a statement and showing outrage. I have never seen CAIR show outrage.

Disenfranchised people may be drawn into extremist groups because of political, economic and/or social disparity. Bombings and anti-Islamic rhetoric only feed into that.

If I were to propose a method to reduce the threat I would look at oil. In particular the Black Oil Market. As long as counties like Turkey accept black market oil from terrorist groups terrorism will be funded.

Interesting clip. Bill Maher explains to Charlie Rose why Islam is not the same as other religions. He points out the 82% of Muslims believe that stoning is the appropriate punishment for adultery. While Maher himself is agnostic, he has some valid points.

BEST strategy?
First get out of Israel.
Calmly walk away.

If you like to engage in adultery I do suggest you stay out of Islamic states, it is a capital offense if witnessed by four people.

Iran did change its laws recently to remove stoning as a form of punishment but, I find it cryptic and strange "if the possibility of carrying out the (stoning) verdict does not exist"

According to local media, MPs had removed stoning altogether from the bill that they adopted. But the hardline Guardians Council of clerics and jurists, which must approve all legislation before it enters into force, reinserted it, with the new amendment.

So the conversation of removing this form of punishment for capital offense is trying to be changed by Muslims.

This thread started out as a focused, adult dialog by many, including our moderator. The topic was specific to named groups which are indesputably terrorist groups an which all proclaim to act in the name of Islam. Now the discussion has devolved into the KKK in MD and VA.

But since folks feel inclined to view criticism of Islamic extremism as an attack on all Islam (it's not, BTW), take a look at this woman's explanation:

Do you always pick and choose Mayer beliefs when it suits your narrative? You probably despise 90% of his beliefs except this one.

A recent video by the "Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) shows an Egyptian Jihadist fighting in Syria whose alias is Abu Ahmad al-Masri (the Egyptian) stating that his group aims to launch a terror campaign in Egypt against al-Sisi, the Egyptian Army, all apostates, and Egypt's Coptic Christians. He also states that many like-minded Egyptian Wahhabis would wish to get their bodies blown up in order to liberate Jerusalem. However, a prerequisite to the liberation of Jerusalem is the Wahhabi "conquest of Egypt," and not of Syria, which seems to be of a lesser importance to him at this point in time.
