This is really cute!

You say that like it's a bad thing. Some of us say dowdy. Some say "classic."

But she is not 40.

What about a jean skirt? Yeah or nay for a 40 year old? Just bought one, am I trying too hard?

But she is not 40.

She also has thighs that are thinner and certainly more toned than most 40 year old women's arms.

So if you are 44 and have the body of a size 0 or 1 teenager, go for it. Otherwise...

Lol. Better get those arms in shape if you want to rock that long-sleeved shirt!

Always no to these:

NO! The top pair still look very dated and too tight. The other lady's photo---more slouchy/boyfriendy were better. I still wouldn't wear them in my 40s and I am very comfortable with shorter shorts---I am very athletic, olive skin with no veins showing, etc.

This is not the 90s anymore.

They are in all the stores and catalogs this season.

Like these?

Those shorts make that very skinny size zero model appear to have big thighs.

Imagine what they will look like on the average size 10-16 40 year old woman...

I think you have some sort of disordered idea of what women's bodies look like.

They are all kinds of awesome. All the rage.

I say yeh if you've got the body for it.

Just wear what you want. Why do you care what others think?

What kind of jean skirt? The style makes a difference.

You don't have to be thin, or not have any fat on your legs, or anything else. If you want to wear it, do so. For comforts sake, don't wear them too tight

Jean pencil skirts are cute but more of a fall item.
