OP here I lived in India and know Indians don't eat cats or dogs, but apparently will poison cats (in my neighborhood sadly). However there are many Asian nationalities, as specified above, that do eat "pets" hence the generic term. |
I lived in Hawaii and we never "confirmed" it happening but there isn't a stray problem and people suspected it. |
OMG you know someone is eating them, right? Now you know what's for dinner at the Huang, Li and Cheng homes. GROSS! |
Great, more racists coming out to play. Is the Political forum closed? Or is that too intellectually challenging for you? |
| I ate dogs in Thailand, tasted like chicken. Not too bad really. |
What's wrong? Did stir fried Fido give you an upset stomach? May I recommend a couple of Tums? Or better yet, let me lighten your mood. What do you call a Chinese Billionaire? Cha Ching! Are we getting happier? |
The most pathetic part of your comments is that you would be terrified to say it to an Asian person face to face. Need your white hood on and a fast car to scream it from. BTW, I'm not Asian, just a decent human being. |

"Asian" is a pretty broad term. Plenty of Asians are Buddhists and don't eat any meat.
Jokes that paint huge groups of people in such broad strokes are distasteful and obnoxious and offensive. |
It's far more likely that foxes are eating them. My husband saw a fox in our neighborhood carrying a dead cat. It's why it's not a good idea to let your house cat out. The idea that some Asian family or restaurant owner is stealing cats to eat is ridiculous. |
+1 |
Of course they had to eat cats and dogs. And anything else that moved. Do you have any idea how many people died under Mao during the Cultural Revolution? From starvation? More than Stalin killed and more than Hitler killed. Good Lord. Take a history lesson. When I lived in China in 1979 there was no living or most beast including pests because everything had been eaten or killed off by pesticides. |
| The strays don't have enough meat and don't listen to commands so they are harder to catch. |
yes true People are so easily offended. Most stereotypes are based on some truth. in this case . . . |
|
Who cares if dogs get eaten in Asia? Your statement was about ONE RESTAURANT in the UNITED STATES...in your neighborhood. In fact you slandered them. The very essence of racism is generalizing from a huge population down to one person because of a negative characteristic that you have no idea based on experience that individual shares.
You don't know that restaurant cooks dogs? No, you just decided in your "joke" that the restaurant is a dog-cooker because it's Asian. Obviously racist. |
| Shrug. Peopld need to lighten up, their assholes are on a bot too tight. |
