It truly depends. A jacket from Balenciaga, some pants from Balmain, a few shirts, and two pair of shoes...that is very easily $8k. If I'm dress shopping that might be 3 or 4 dresses.

$10 a month, averaged from yearly purchases of basics.

Still coasting on my expensive clothes (especially outerwear and special stuff) from 10, 15, 20 years ago.

Will soon have to replace them, and that will be painful!

Not as much as I used to. Shopping isn't really fun anymore for me anymore, there isn't a lot to choose from. All the stores sell the same thing (shapeless short dresses, polyester stretch pants, everything in gray or black).

1. Why would you need new clothes every month?
2. I buy used only so I get an entire new wardrobe for about $100 whenever I need or want something new which is about once or twice per year (summer and winter)

i am all for spending money on clothiers, but this is UGLY. we spend maybe 5-6k a year. HHI 200k.
