I still want to know what people are doing with the coconut oil! |
I use it on my cuticles, feet, hands to moisturize. I have heard of people using it for a hair mask, and make-up remover. |
Proactive skincare 123 anything. |
I put coconut oil on hair from middle to ends. Put on shower cap and sit for an hour. Blast with hairdryer every once in a while. Wash out and my hair is so much healthier. pantene makes a Keratin repair shampoo, conditioner and leave in which is also amazing (I never see a difference with hair care products so if I notice a difference, it's probably huge).
I also do oil pulling. A little coconut ooil (or sesame oil) on a spoon and swish it around your mouth for up to 20 minutes. I can only last 5-8 minutes but hope to work my way up to 20. Teeth are so much cleaner. They don't feel icky in the morning either. Do not spit coconut oil down sink or you will ruin plumbing. Must spit in the trash. |
Batiste dry shampoo. I have stupidly thin hair and have never been able to go more than a day without washing it. But it's hard, hard, hard to make time to wash it ever day when juggling small kids, job etc. I never believed a dry shampoo could work but it is amazing! I actually put it on before I go to bed at night and can then eke another day out of my hair without washing it. |
"It's a 10" leave-in conditioner with keratin. This has really improved the shine and texture of my hair after blowouts. |
Neutrogena SPF 100. It's the only thing that keeps me from burning. |
Retin-A and arghan oil. |
Oh I have read about this and want to try. I heard it heals cavities? Does it whiten? How long have you been pulling? Once a day? |
how do you rinse your hair out if you cant get it in your plumbing??? |
I love my Clarins eyebrow pencil too. I have fine, curly hair and find as it grows, the curl looks more stringy and less curly. For over 15 years, I have been using Snapp by Biogenol as my curl activator. Add a little leave in conditioner and no crunchy hair, just soft curls. I also have deep set eyes so my mascara must be waterproof or else my squinty eyes end up smearing it everywhere, but I'm not loyal to any particular brand. I do LOVE the waterproof eye makeup remover from Sephora though. It's the only one that doesn't sting and really works. |
Washing my face with a wash cloth. I used to always use my fingers/hands, and then about 6 weeks ago I started washing with a wash cloth twice a day. My skin is glowing and so much cleaner and clearer! I've had so many compliments and that is the only thing I've done differently. I know this isn't revolutionary, but it seriously changed my skin. Bought an 8-pack of white washcloths at Target for $4 and use a clean one every day. |
Dermologica's Precleanse. The idea that using oil on my oily skin would actually help seemed crazy, but it is amazing. |
