The grammar errors in OP's post really work against her point.

It isn't up to the school board, it is up to the state.

And good luck finding the right person to contact - i wason the DE site trying to voice my opinion and I had no idea who to contact.

Also, make sure that students have enough time to do homework, tests, makeup work etc.

They should extend one day for every snow-day!

Bahhahahahaha! Good one! You really think that the teachers will be teaching during the last/extended week?!? Funny, good one, really.

It is hilarious considering most teachers barely teach throughout the school year.

If teachers barely teach throughout the school year anyway, then I'm sure you don't care if the school year ends on June 12.

Good grief. That's not a grammar error; that's a typo.

Why don't your homeschool or send your kid to private then? I guess if you feel this way and STILL send your kid, you must be okay with using them for free daycare and by that point, the extra week is a full week of free daycare. So again, what is the point of your argument?

Is this who we contact if we want the full week of school to stay and no waivers? I have been looking for someone to email.

If you have an opinion, whether it is in support of a full waiver or full extension, voice it to the Superintendent of Schools.

Not necessarily. A lot of people are clueless on when to use to or too. I got this drilled into me in middle school.

Phones and computers make it easier for people to make mistakes, but you can't declare every to/too/two "a typo."

I'm from NY and we always went from the Wednesday after Labor Day until the second-to-last week in June, sometime around the 20-25th. Why is this such a catastrophe?

Thank you, I sent an email supporting the extended days.

Because they just need something to whine about. Honestly, it is so stupid to even show your kids you don't care about their education. I can understand the kids are going to whine but it is so sad to see grown adults (who normally complain about not seeing enough teaching) complain about a few extra days of school to make up the REQUIRED 180 days of school.
