LOL. Wow, 1k to your parents on a 450k salary? Do you even realize what a jackass you are?

Op here. That's a thousand a month for each set. $24k a year. after tax dollars.

Did you get the corolla with leather and alloys rims? That would be sweet.

BTW, condolences for having to pay taxes, I can see that really urks you. You bring it up in every post.

This whole exercise is a pissing contest unless people give education, career, years in the field, etc. Then someone might be able to use it for negotiating their next job.

But otherwise its an effort to toot your horn.

Unless the OP is a troll. That would be masterful...

Law firm associate bonuses went as high as 300K this year.

What the heck do you all do to make that much in BONUS. I'm not even talking the salaries.

I work nonprofit. $90K base. No bonus this year.
Anonymous
my 'measly' bonus will be $12K. I'm thankful, though.

Agree this is BS. Just look at the Above the Law site and you'll see that even the big NY firms are not paying close to that in bonuses.

OP, they are your parents! It's not charity! I mean, it's not a evil act, but for pete's sakes...they are your family, and your parents to boot. You think you're the only person who supports their parents in their old age? Most people do it, OP. And they do it on a heck of lot less "after tax dollars" where every penny counts.

You grousing about that is like saying, "I send my kids to private school! I'm a GOOD PERSON!" Yeah, they're your kids, not someone else's.

I'm the PP who owns the company. Good for you, OP, you think you're making the mega-bucks. It doesn't matter what we make, if we have shelter, food and something to sock away, everything else is in your head. If you are happy, good for you. I'm relatively happy too, but it sure as heck isn't due to my money. I was darn happy (happier possibly) when I had nothing to my name.
