E. L. Haynes language instruction

We waste money on language courses, and we could spend that money on more useful courses. That is why I am so adamant about it. In higher Ed, they are begging us to prepare our kids properly, and we are no doing it. We worry too much about whether or not a school has a great Mandarin course. In the real world, people eat, sleep, drink, and dream in English. I have traveled the world and can attest to that.

No kidding, you've travelled in the real world? Wow, what's it like?? Because, see, I live in this little podunk town called Washington DC, and no one here ever travels or moves here from other countries. So, living here, we have no concept of the real world.

Since you're so worldly and you know so much about why everyone in bilingual Ed is wasting their time, why don't you post your full name and DCUM will endorse you as Chancellor? Then you can shut down all the bilingual Ed in DC and prepare us for the real world!

(Meanwhile, don't worry, there is always next year for you to apply again to Yu Ying! No need to waste so much time this early trying to cut the competition.).

You've got my vote! Too bad, as you pointed out, we at DCUM and therefore not in the "real world". But you've got my vote in the fake world for sure!

We need to stop feeding our kids that learning another language matters. It does not matter. EL Haynes need to worry about more pressing educational issues. The language for capitalism is English, and it will always be English. Now, if you want to be translator at the UN, take your hippy butt and learn another language.

Apparently you didn't go to a top U.S. university either? Because last I checked most of them have a foreign language requirement if your kids even hope to get in.

Williams College is not IVY league but I graduated with honors and did not have to take a stupid foreign language course. I prefer small schools so I have a better chance with the professor.

This thread is cray-cray, off-topic, and should be shut down.

Or maybe just ignored?

Me, I keep reading just to see how much more our "millionaire" poster will show his/her ignorance of actual language trends, college trends, and overall business trends. So far, s/he is providing a lot of misinformation and amusement! But maybe you should just stop clicking on it, since it hasn't really been about EL Haynes since like the 3rd post?

My kids dream in Spanish and English.

Your kids dream in Spanish and English? You will be forking over thousands toward therapy sessions. You are clearly a confused parent.
