Yup, I am judging

I wish it didnt. I hate judging.

No you don't. You LOVE judging. It makes you feel superior. It wasn't enough for you to simply think it in the privacy of your own head. No, you had to go post it here where others could join in with a "Yeah, you're right! That mom sucks. Poor kids!" And then you feel even MORE superior because others are validating your judgment.

We all judge, but please, don't insult us with your insincere attempts to absolve yourself. If you want absolution, go bake the mom some cookies or bring her some flowers. Reach out to her family since in your mind, things seem so awful over there. Maybe you could model for her what a "decent" mother does.

This exact post was posted a few weeks or months ago. I think OP is an angry nanny. Whatever, butt out.

Maybe the 4th was a surprise/accident.

Maybe she's having a fourth just to give her neighbor more material to be superior about.

Are you with her every hour of her day? Did you hide web cams in her house?

How do you know how much time she spends with her kids?

My aunt was a stay at home mom. She was "with" her kids day in and day out. I'm sure it looked like she spent lots of time with them.

But most of the time she was distant and cold. So it wasn't really quality time.

On the other hand, her husband worked a lot, but when he was home, he was really engaged with them.

and I know that from what they have said.

You don't know what goes on in her house. MYOB.

Sure she does! She's at her window all day, with binoculars!

Well then bring out the Willy wonka meme!

I would add, the kids have each other. I'm just not of the mind that a parent has to spend every waking hour with their kids.

In fact, for about 90 percent of the population, it wasn't like that pre WWII. Most women either worked or had so much work to do in the home (b/c of no appliances), that they didn't spend a lot of time with their kids. And likely when they did, they were exhausted.

OP, I know someone with more children than that. They basically ignore them most of the day. I have maybe seen them play with their child outside once. Maybe. The mom has a mental problem. The dad has problems, too. It is known in the neighborhood. Which would be fine, if they got the help they so clearly and so desperately need.

They basically rely on their family because no one likes them.

Why do people have more kids than they can handle? How are they benefitting ANYONE (especially the kids)?

And when they were wealthy enough to not have to work and have servants do everything around the house, their kids were taken care of by nannies and governesses, lol.

Obviously the mom in question is a single mother, so we should cut her some slack!

Exception applies to single, working moms. But the moms who neglect their kids and have a-hole husbands get zero exception.
