Sometimes they can't see what I see in that situation, but you have to know my sense of humor to get it. I've never taken video, but pictures yes.

I would never come kill you in your sleep. And just because I take your picture doesn't mean I magically know your name or where you live.

It's creepy that you take pictures of other people. WTF do you do with them???

Generally post them on FB with a witty-to-me-and-my-friends comment.
I'm an artist and do photography, and in over a decade of snapping pics of people or things, only once has anyone said to me "Could you please not take a picture of me like this?"

I know someone like this, who takes photos of people in public to post and make fun of. She thinks she's clever and funny, but it really just comes off as mean and immature, and pretty fucking sad given that she's a grown woman with a family. That sort of thing was funny when we were idiot teenagers. In our 30's...not so much.

Not ALL of the pics wind up on FB! I do showings about once a month where many of them wind up too. OP, you should have just asked the guy. Many people have come up to me to say, "Did you just take a picture of me?" and if they do that, then I show it to them and explain what made me notice them. The ones on FB are like ... maybe once a month. And I'm just as likely to take a picture of a thing as of a person.

It sounds like you're an actual photographer. I'm talking about someone who takes photos of fat or poorly-dressed people at the store to make fun of on fb.

Yes OP here I have had random people take pictures of my kids before and have never felt creeped out. However that us only when they are dressed in Sunday best clothes and are in cute public places. Many times people will ask for permission but if not I usually get a smile afterwards. This is completely different from a creep who videotaped me for 5 minutes. I believe I was targeted because I was on the cell phone.

I do this and send them to my best friend. They have to be "People of Walmart" quality for it to happen though.

Sorry
O
P. unpleasant experience. Would creep me out. On the other hand, all of the shocked and it raged posters might think about whether they've been tourists and taken pictures of unknown people in other countries.

I did receive call back today from NPS (called only twice Tuesday) police and they took my description in case weirdo comes back. They said they were glad I called. I didn't ask why they waited 5 days to call back. To the grammar police on DCURBANMOM I apologize for the mistake in the title. Gee. I was typing quickly on phone.

Settle down, Rambo. I don't stick a camera underneath a bathroom stall door or into your kitchen window. If you're out in public, you allow people to see you. If they want to preserve what they see, they are allowed.

That doesn't make it socially acceptable behavior. You take pictures of strangers so that you can make fun of them to your Facebook friends? Lovely.

+1

You suck, PP.

Sad, disturbed behavior. You need to grow up.
