I busted my butt, lost the weight and now [sigh] I look a lot older...

I feel ya! I'm not quite so fit yet, but I have lost some weight and gotten in much better shape in the last year, and I've noticed the aging on my face and my upper arms. Annoying. I'm 45. Ah well, what can you do? I do love the feeling I have after I go for a hard run.

Honestly, I wish everyone would think twice about fillers. I have several friends who just look unnatural. Wrinkles are so much better. Once you get to the point where your eyebrows are in the middle of your forehead and your forehead and cheeks don't move, please stop. You would be much more beautiful going natural.

I lost a bunch of weight and noticed the same thing. I upgraded by skincare routine which helped a bit.

Can you explain what you did?

I started with a facial and added a daily serum back to the routine as well as nighttime recovery products. I'm using a combination of Caudalie and Kiehl's right now. I had noticed the lines around my eyes seemed extra noticable. I got a super creamy concealer that didn't settle into lines.

Nothing is the perfect fix, but a little pampering helps you feel better. I would rather be healthy and deal with a few extra lines than have the weight back on!

I too have lost all my girlish curves (boobs, hips, butt) and look like a prepubescent girl (sigh), and still I have a small layer of belly fat I still wish would go away. Not sure how much more I can lose. I wake up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror and say "EWWWW", not plesant at all.

You are anorexic. Get a therapist. Seriously.

Fillers like Restylane and Juvenderm don't freeze your face, nor will they move your eyebrows up. They just plump your face up temporarily. The effect is generally subtle and wears out a bit gradually. It's probably Botox that your friends have injected. Botox is what is used in wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. Fillers are generally used to even out the marionette lines.

NOTHING is more aging that being overweight. Get a good haircut, some filler, or a lift, and spruce up your makeup routine. Then go out and get a new wardrobe for your new body!

You are confused. Fillers do not do that. Just think about what the word "filler" means.

Since I've never had fillers, I confess that you are right. All I know is that I have several friends who would otherwise be aging beautifully who now look like space aliens. I think its difficult to have perspective on what you actually look like when you go down that road.

A haircut is a great idea. At a certain point a haircut that might have looked great will make you look older. Like makeup, you need to adjust your hair as you age.

The main reason this happens is people loose too much weight too fast. You shoudl not loose more than 4-6 pounds in a month and this will not happen to you.

The only way to loose weight and keep itoff is to burtn the fat and eat well. No pills, no kale smoothies etc. eat right and work hard. Your coloic intake should actually increase due to the amount of exercise.

You are starving yourslef nad lossing lean body mass instead of burning fat.

Well, I do Kale smoothies and look great, at 135lbs at 5'9". I did lose weight over the course of 2 years. I rapidly lost weight after I went gluten free. No lean muscle mass lost that I'm aware of...of course I have plenty to lose as I'm an unusual in that I can do pull ups and can squat more than my weight.

What I did notice though is that at first I had some lose skin around my lower abdomen...then one day I woke up and noticed that the skin was much better and now it is not loose at all and I now have visible abdominal muscles. I think over time my skin tightened up. My fat loss was much faster than what my skin could keep up with.

I do not have the aging thing yet, as I'm only 35, but I would guess that maybe some women who have lost weight quickly just need to give their skin more time to catch up.

After a certain age it most definitely will because you naturally lose facial fat, combine that with weight loss and it can be very aging.
