TP house is beautiful but very taste-specific. As many people will turn away from the orange walls and river rocks as will drool over woodwork and finishes.
The PH house is character-free and bland, and made over to appeal to the maximum number of buyers. The best thing would be to monitor both and compare days on the market when both sell. |
I honestly have no idea what the hell you are babbling about here... I don't care for either of the pictures houses, actually. I think the TP house which I originally thought was a Pimmit tear down based on the title of the post is really drab on the outside. Unless you know the area, you never would know that had been built in the last decade. It truly does look like they distressed the outside of it to look like it was 60+ years old. I don't care for the cookie cutter-ness of the Pimmit home. |
#2 sold in a week |
Generic house, moderate price for the area, generic buyer. Who cares? |
The main thing is that it's being offered at $1.2 million, which is a lot for a house in Takoma Park. But it's a beautiful house. The PH house was much cheaper, and just about any new house near Tysons sells these days. |
Well the question was asked... |
| I honestly think the PH house looks good but what do I know I prefer new construction. |
You've said this several times (and I've said several times that you've said it several times)
|
| You couldn't pay me to move from PH back to TP - and I am from there. I can drive 5 miles in any direction and everywhere is super nice. |
Why not? |
Who cares is whoever made that thread. |
Pimmit Hills isn't super nice, but the surrounding areas are better. |
| The tp house looks like a crayon factory eating a trailer home |
| So many people on this thread express fear of "what's five miles in any direction." How many travel that far from home on a day-to-day basis, excepting a commute? |
