The principal just called me after I had emailed about the missing application for my little one. She was so nice! She said that this kind of thing happens sometimes but they will make it right.

Last year we were 59th on the list for PS and got offered a spot in September. We turned it down for another spot ( mainly due to commute concerns) but the lists did move.

What time can children be dropped off in the morning? Is there beforecare?

Before care starts @ 7:15, currentlly 6.99 per day. Aftercare runs til 6:30, currently 15.99 per day. There are monthly options for each that are a bit less than daily rates.

Thanks, PP. And if you don't do beforecare, what time can you bring your children to school? I'm just trying to figure out if I could feasibly drop my son off on the way to work. Thanks.

PS and PK drop off is officially between 8.30 and 9.00, but our PK teacher lets parents drop off from 8.20.

The upper grades start earlier.

Chances are that this family doesn't go to the top of the list. What I remember them doing in the past is randomly picking/generating a number for this family between 1 and the last waitlist spot +1. That's where the kid's name will go. Could also have ended up in another grade's pile due to clerical error or user error. Post back, PP, and let us know what happens.

well, at 298, I can cross IT off my list now too. so far, I'm high 200s (CM and MD), mid 400s (Cap city) and low 700s (Lamb) for 5 schools. high 20s/mid 30s though for Marie Reed and for Clevaland Dual.

Does anyone know when Bridges will post?

Children in PS and PK must be dropped off by 9 am, or as early as 8:20. K and up are between 8:20 and 8:45.

This and more are in the family handbook:

Hm. Rising 1st grader was accepted, but PKer is #88. I would have expected the opposite. I suspect IT this means will not be in our future - my schedule makes a two-school dropoff prohibitively difficult.

Once you enroll your 1st grader won't your PK'er go to the top of the waitlst?

I thought that if one sibling gets in another would get top billing on the waitlist. So either IT doesn't do this or more likley, once you've completed and submitted the enrollment paperwork for your first grader your PKer would get bumped from 88 to 1 on the waitlist. You should ask.

Your PKer will go to the top of the waitlist if your 1st grader has been accepted due to sibling preference. Call or email the school tomorrow just to make sure this happens.
