You should get in if you're no. 3.

Agree. 2nd & 3rd grade WL moved a lot last year (the entire WL for some grades, hence to open spots now). 3rd grade teacher is beyond amazing (probably the best of the best)!!! I would wager Vegas money that you'll get a spot by June and enjoy your summer. Welcome!!

Second grade teacher is great too. I hear she is teaching some of the kids Latin.

what do folks think of the PS teachers and do you expect them to stay?

Oh no. Very sorry to hear you're going through so much. Prayers and well wishes to your family. I'm ceratin the school will work it out. As mentioned above, 2nd grade is a great grade to enter.

My son's PS3 teacher last year was amazing. I can't see any reason why she won't stay. I haven't met the other PS3 teacher but I have heard good things about her.

Absolutely. I was extremely impressed with the learning showcase displays in the 2nd grade. I am a K family and we're very excited and hopeful that the 2nd and 3rd teachers stay. I also hear great things about 4th teacher, but never have enough time to visit the classrooms.

Ditto. I'm sorry, PP. Sounds like you've had a stressful year. I hope you guys land somewhere perfect for your family.

Thank you both! She just finished up on Thursday after 13 months of chemo for 3 brain tumors and is doing GREAT and is so excited to go back to school! I hope I get to meet some of you as we don't know anyone yet besides family. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will find a school because I've been homeschooling her for a year and her brother since we moved and I think there is a reason I didn't decide to be a teacher. LOL. I'm grateful that I got to be with her though while she went through treatment.

Are we reading this right- no one accepted for kindergarten?

Correct. Looks like all kids in PK turned in their re-enrollment package. That doesn't mean some won't leave in summer.

Just received a call from the principal! We got a spot. So excited.

Does anyone know what the re-enrollment percentage was this year?
