In my affluent neighborhood of nw dc, I'm far more likely to be exposed to tb from foreigners than be 'gutshot'. Is that even a word?

As for free speech, you are showing your desperation. Our Founders would love the Internet. Because anyone spouting bullshit like your TB idea can be refuted with a few minutes of research.

These analogies are actually strengthening the anti-gun argument. When a hospital gets a case of TB, wouldn't it immediately report it to the CDC? So in effect, yes, these types of diseases are monitored by geographic location. As a public health crisis, the same should be true with guns. Bad analogy. And same with the First Amendment. Your freedom of speech IS limited within reason. You are free as long as you don't slander another person. The same should go with guns. Gun owners have had so much freedom it is detrimental to the rest of society, and more reasonable limitations should be put in place.

What does this have to do with a map showing where gun owners live? No one on this thread suggested taking guns away or nullifying the constitution.

How many times does this need to be explained? Liberty has limits. You can't drive your car drunk, you can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded movie theater, and you shouldn't be able to turn your house into an arsenal without taking some responsibility for it.

It appears you do not understand what "Walter Mitty" refers to. And I don't see how gun regulation will lead to unemployment increases for America, unless by reducing the number of dead males of working age.

I think if you just linked-up registered republican voters with their addresses on google maps creator, you'd have a pretty accurate list of gun owners. I've never met an (R) in a state where it's legal to have one, who didn't have some sort of gun.
