Actually, AIDS isn't transmitted over distances, unlike bullets (and also, sick people are only trash in your universe, not mine).
As far as illegal aliens are concerned, they pick your food, serve you in restaurants, mow your lawn. If you fear them, maybe you should leave (and take your guns with you).

We're not the ones hear illegally. Illegally. As in breaking the law. They should not be doing any of the above activities. It's not about fear, it's about law and our politicians who feel free to pick and choose which ones they want to follow, and people like you who not only don't hold them accountable, but actually vote them in.

Nice try changing the topic. This thread is about tracking down gun owners so we can steer clear of them.

The gun owner next door is much like the millionaire next door. Theres plenty of them and you would never know the better. The vast vast vast majority of people who own guns do so legally and peacefully, why make a map that panders to fear and hysteria and targets people who have followed the law?

The real gun violence that occurs is that violence that is swept under the carpet in the worst areas of town with guns obtained illegally.

I get that you want to own a gun. I do not get that this has to be anonymous. If your purpose is self-defense, you should be happy to advertise the fact. In any case, I don't know why you have a privacy right on gun ownership.

Lastly I don't see how this panders to fear and hysteria if gun owners are responsible.

Because one has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, i.e. a natural right.

You are entitled to life liberty and pursuit of happiness. None of that confers on you the right to privacy on gun ownership. You own a product which increases the risk to my family if you are my neighbor. You don't think so but since the NRA prevents us from imposing any requirements on gun proficiency or trustworthiness, I have no idea whether you are the idiot who just hid your revolver in a stuffed animal and then gave it to a kid. (yes, that just happened yesterday). I don't know if you are the guy scared enough to shoot a kid in a halloween costume who comes to your door (yes, that just happened this halloween). I don't know if you are the guy who sometimes forgets his 9mm in the glove compartment of his unlocked pickup, where a neighbor kid finds it (yes, this just happened too).

If you choose to own a product which is a hazard to the neighborhood, I see nothing in your constitutional or natural rights which requires us to keep this a private matter. If that brings some sort of public disapproval, you should be satisfied that you no longer have to deal with people who do not see the world the way you do. What do you care if I avoid you, you probably don't like me anyway.

Land ownership is a public record. Why not guns?

I agree. Isn't forcing people to wear seatbelts more of an imposition than this?

Maybe I am confused, but isn't AIDS is a medical condition (so a map would be prohibited legally) and doesn't the government already deport illegal aliens when it finds them?

As for gun owners, I see no reason not to have a map tracking them.

An aids house is much more potentially dangerous than a gun owning home. Infectious disease needs to be tracked and identified.

Wow, you must have a really interesting relationship with your neighbors. I try not to have sex with mine or use their dirty needles.

Saliva with a mouth sore is infectious. Shared glass etc... A sneeze with a slightly bloody nose... Dirty dangerous people with dangerous lifestyles. Need to be tracked.

Perhaps we should also publish a list of people who travel to areas of endemic tuberculosis bc lord knows its much more insidious way to die of TB than of a gsw.

Similarly, if we target the 2nd amendment bc our founding fathers did not foresee our advances in gun technology- we should go after the 1st amendment.

Our founding fathers never thought Internet hate/inflammtory speech would be spread in seconds to the whole world and as such we should crack down on the first amendment.

You have some serious phobias. Do you really believe you can catch AIDS from your neighbor? Get help, please. Your fear of germs is just too out of control. You have to deal with this before it eats you alive.

TB only kills 500 people a year in this country. Those germs are far scarier in your head than the statistical reality, and that's certainly because of your mental illness about germs. Maybe if you knew about the massive release of bacteria into your abdominal cavity when you got gutshot, you would have a proper fear of bullets.

But hey, if you think we should publicize everyone's travel on the off chance it may save 500 lives, then you should be happy to wear a big flashing red beacon every time you carry your weapon, because of course guns kill 70 times that many people.

As for free speech, you are showing your desperation. Our Founders would love the Internet. Because anyone spouting bullshit like your TB idea can be refuted with a few minutes of research.

We have guns in our home. I am totally o.k. with a gun owner map. Just make sure my address is very clear on the map. Like I said in the other thread, I want to make sure the criminals know to hit up my anti-gun zealot neighbors. They don't have any weapons at all in their house and their dog is super friendly. However, it should be noted that we are under no obligation to help them if someone breaks into their house. After all, there are no "criminals". These are just people who have been under-served by the community.
