Hardy is going to go downhill from here on out. They have to receive Macfarland kids? Good luck with them.

There are only about 100 students at MacFarland.

They are going to Hardy.

Which feeds into Deal. It's a win win I guess.

Here's the link to the DCPS power point. Francis Stevens is for SWW expansion.

Well that power point blows the myth of the babyboom out of the water. Maybe in some areas it looks like it but city as a whole? Down, way down.

Any person who believes in public school should be interested in what is happening citywide.

DCPS closures are a lagging indicator of performance following under-enrollment. It all begins and ends with performance of individual schools and how parents and guardians react to that performance.

Performance based on erased scores, but nice try.

read the above link...it's all there.

Makes a great deal of sense all around. It's clear where the students will be funneled but you obviously can't force anybody. For example, the F-S middle school students may not actually go to Hardy but choose another middle school instead.
What I'm not seeing is missed opportunities. Are there schools that should be on the list but aren't.

Ludlow Taylor could go and those kids could go to their home schools in PG county.
