Seriously? The president gives a speech the next day mourning the loss of brave Americans and saying that acts of terror will not shake our resolve and you are complaining that he didn't say "this act of terror"? That's pathetic.

It's called semantics.
You must be unfamiliar with Bill Clinton's line "It depends on what your definition of 'is' is."

O knew he didn't call it what it was. AND he's a lawyer; knew what he was doing. You, it seems, are simply naive.

Romney was right: Obama and his administration DID NOT call it what it was until nearly 2 weeks later. Period.

And why are you so hung up about what it was called when?

Because the president out and out lied about a terrorist attack but the country is full of sheep who view him as some Illuminated King and might vote him back into office for 4 more years of lies and incompetence??

Please tell me if you voted for Bush on his second term. Please tell me, if you voted for the administration that lied to their people and the whole world about WMD for years, and dragged us into war with fabricated intelligence on purpose.
I just need to know, before we talk about why the current president was saying or not saying something for a few days after a foreign embassy attack.

I would agree with you if he hadn't gone to the UN and talked about the video days later and had Susan Rice to talk about the video or had Clinton talk about the video when the bodies were received in the US.

I actually don't think they thought it was an act of terrorism. I haven't decided how scared that makes me feel.

The latest reporting is that the video did inspire the attack. In other words, it was not a spontaneous demonstration that turned into an attack, but it was an deliberate attack that they planned in a few hours because of emotions over the video.

I'm not sure what all the labelling about "act of terrorism" or the exact sequence of events is about, but then I don't live in the right wing echo chamber.

Hillary and Biden also said Iraq had WMD.

Suck it!

Obamas embassadors get sodomized and slaughtered. That would never happen under Bush.

I'm sorry, but you are delusional.

lied to their people and the whole world

When Bush relied on bad intel, he was lying. When Obama relied on bad intel---no big deal.

Yes, because that massive war we are engaged in Libya has cost us so many billions. Oh, wait. Sorry, I was thinking of the war that resulted from a lie. That was Bush, not Obama.

Oh, and Fox News reported that the day after the attack, the Stare Department was briefing Capitol Hill staffers about the terrorist attack in Benghazi. I actually think that it took a few days to figure out exactly what happened, and that it wasn't lying so much as hedging bets.

It's been well documented Bush was adamant about going into Iraq almost immediately after 9/11. That was about finishing daddy's war and we'll figure out a reason later

17:47, are you really equating the thousands of lives and trillions of dollars spent in Iraq with Benghazi? President Bush relocated essential linguists and vital troops from Afghanistan, a war of necessity, to Iraq, a war of choice. He had months - a year and a half - to get it right and he failed, failed, failed.

Some bat shit crazy folks make a movie offensive to many Muslims and distribute it. Some bat shit crazy folks riot in Cairo and other cities over the video. It was not farfetched for US government folks to assume in the immediate aftermath that the movie was the impetus for the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi. The president described it as "acts of terror" on two consecutive days. You seem to be forgetting that Romney was bashing the president before the word was out that the ambassador and his three colleagues were brutally murdered (their murders really seem to be an afterthought to Romney Ryan et al - more focus on when did Obama say "terror"). Have you ever been in a country during a coup or civil disturbances? Romney was mocking the US embassy staff in Cairo for their social media efforts to defuse the riots. Do you really believe that Obama and Biden were composing tweets for the staff?

What most Obama supporters find so offensive are the false equivalencies, the inability to own up to the failed Bush polices as well as their legacies. You all carry on as if President Obama inherited the situation President Bush did - enormous surplus and relative geopolitical stability. No, our economy was teetering on collapse. President Obama saved us from a global depression. Yes, the recession was and is horrible. But he had to dig us out of a DEEP, DEEP hole. You folks are so embarrased by Bush that no one dares utter his name, invite him to the convention, etc. Democrats may despair when Obama does not do well, but Republicans engage in extreme, clinical self delusion when things don't go their way.

The middle east thinks obama is weak and they are right. 4 Americans are dead. 4 days after the attack the Ambassadors journal is found on the floor of the embassy by CNN (why wasnt anyone from the gov in there investigating?). State dept said it was Never their conclusion that this was a riot gone bad. Who came up wirh the whole video story which was perpetuated by the admin on news shows and hard hitting venues like the View. The message is muddled. Apparently no one is responsible for anything except hillary clinton- this administration is pathetic
Anonymous
The whole video story as perpetuated? Were you not watching the news? Have you no clue about what precipitated the riots in Cairo? Are you seriously so ignorant of foreign events? 4 persons versus the thousands killed on 9/11 and then the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq?

Wow.

No, not true.
Should I have said Cheney then? Because it was NOT bad intel then, it was fabricated on purpose by Cheney and Co.
