[quote=Anonymous]17:47, are you really equating the thousands of lives and trillions of dollars spent in Iraq with Benghazi? President Bush relocated essential linguists and vital troops from Afghanistan, a war of necessity, to Iraq, a war of choice. He had months - a year and a half - to get it right and he failed, failed, failed. Some bat shit crazy folks make a movie offensive to many Muslims and distribute it. Some bat shit crazy folks riot in Cairo and other cities over the video. It was not farfetched for US government folks to assume in the immediate aftermath that the movie was the impetus for the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi. The president described it as "acts of terror" on two consecutive days. You seem to be forgetting that Romney was bashing the president before the word was out that the ambassador and his three colleagues were brutally murdered (their murders really seem to be an afterthought to Romney Ryan et al - more focus on when did Obama say "terror"). Have you ever been in a country during a coup or civil disturbances? Romney was mocking the US embassy staff in Cairo for their social media efforts to defuse the riots. Do you really believe that Obama and Biden were composing tweets for the staff? What most Obama supporters find so offensive are the false equivalencies, the inability to own up to the failed Bush polices as well as their legacies. You all carry on as if President Obama inherited the situation President Bush did - enormous surplus and relative geopolitical stability. No, our economy was teetering on collapse. President Obama saved us from a global depression. Yes, the recession was and is horrible. But he had to dig us out of a DEEP, DEEP hole. You folks are so embarrased by Bush that no one dares utter his name, invite him to the convention, etc. Democrats may despair when Obama does not do well, but Republicans engage in extreme, clinical self delusion when things don't go their way.
