The Tide is Shifting on Gay Marriage

When courts were legalizing same sex marriage, the anti-SSMs said that courts shouldn't make laws because that was the role of legislatures and no legislature had created such a law. Then, several legislatures, including the DC Council, passed SSM laws and the antis complained that there had never been a referendum. I predict that in November multiple states will approve pro-SSM resolutions. Then, you idiots will complain that it wasn't engraved on the Ten Commandments.

"On Friday, the Washington Blade reported that the National Council of La Raza, the country’s largest Latino civil rights organization, has unanimously endorsed marriage equality."

Can't count on blacks, can't count on Latinos. Who can a homophobe trust these days?

No, it's just the phobes. The old geezers get out to vote, and they are mostly afraid of homosexuals. The young people vote less, and thanks the the Republicans its getting harder and harder for them to even register. But the old folks won't be around long, and the generation that replaces them is heavily pro-marriage.

Gay marriage is inevitable.

I suppose you figure that being in favor of gay marriage justifies bigotry based on age? Many of us in our 60's and 70's were the anti-war, pot-smoking, free-sex hippies of the 60's. When we said Make love, not war, we didn't give a damn about anyone's race or sex. Fuck off with your old geezer shit!

Why do people care so much what other people do with their lives? People are such idiots.

Honey, you are too young and hip to be a geezer. But if you could talk to your less cool and much older friends, about 70% of them need to get straightened out on the gay marriage thing.
