If the founder of the Institution for American Values can have a change of heart, anyone can. It's time!

Not has a single state has voted for legalization of gay marriage when it's been sent to the population to vote. |
People who hate gays are highly motivated to turn out. Doesnt make it right. The public opinion polls break in favor of gay marriage. If public opinion matters most then it should be legalized nationwide. |
or the 54% majority who support it dont actually care enough to show up and vote. |
Old people vote more than young people. This is a problem that will take care of itself. Each successive generation is trending more positive for gay marriage, and the people of each generation are getting more tolerant as they age. The eventual outcome is inevitable. Get used to it. |
a sacrament dedicated to sodomy will never be truly accepted by the salt of the earth. sorry. but in your favor, the bible says the world will become more evil as it approaches the end, so you have that going for you. |
Enjoy the rapture . . . and please go soon! |
You go on and believe what you want to believe. We're winning! Woohoo! ![]() |
Marriage in a church may be a sacrament, but nobody is saying the law should dictate that. Marriage as a civil contract is not a sacrament. Words have more than one meaning, and refusing to allow others to use the meaning they intend because you think your meaning must prevail is not conducive to rational discussion. |
inevitable but there is yet to be a single state which has had the general electorate vote for gay marriage. until then, ill get used to the way things are. |
Yes, because old people go to every off year election, they vote and they vote against gay marriage. And after a while they will be dead and the generation behind them votes for gay marriage. Anyway in the mean time plenty of state legislatures have passed gay marriage law. And if this model of democracy is good enough for the Founders of our country, it's fine by me. |
Can we all chip in and buy a FastPass for him? Or maybe there is an Early Admission program??? |
Fortunately all the catholic and religious conservative Hispanics moving in will keep the status quo. |
Haven't you heard? The Hispanic population growth has leveled out and is even. There are now as many Hispanics leaving the country as entering. They are currently not a growing population in the US. With their numbers about steady, they are not going to be canceling out the changing ideals of the nation. In fact, many of the younger Hispanics that were raised in the US feel like their non-Hispanic counterparts and are also gradually becoming more accepting. You are a dying breed like the anti-interracial marriage folks. Unless you are over 60, it will probably be legally accepted in more than half the nation in your lifetime. |
"On Friday, the Washington Blade reported that the National Council of La Raza, the country’s largest Latino civil rights organization, has unanimously endorsed marriage equality." http://thinkprogress.org/lgbt/2012/06/25/505440/national-council-of-la-raza-endorses-marriage-equality/ Can't count on blacks, can't count on Latinos. Who can a homophobe trust these days? |
