Your chances with the WISC are very good, I have been told anything above 130 is good. Please can you recommend where to do the WISC? |
But was the WISC in the original file? Appeals can only be done if "additional information" is submitted. |
two children:
2nd grader: CogAT composite 137, NNAT 132, GBRS ?-- eligible 5th grader reapplication, not in screening pool in second grade: CogAT 125 (no different from second grade score), GBRS ?, was already receiving Level III services and scoring mostly 600 on SOL tests-- eligible take-home message-- if you truly believe your child will do well in AAP, don't give up! After accepting General Ed was my DS fate in 3rd grade, I realized later how unchallenged he was, worked with AAP resource teacher to move to Level III, demonstrating his ability, reapplied for Level IV. Get new data and go for it!! |
Good for you. Very positive message, never give up on your kid. You know them best. |
Sounds like a solid level 3 student. Why not go that route and soar, rather than push for level 4 and potentially stress out or DC. |
Excellent! |
"Whether you have an Ivy League diploma framed on your wall, or a certificate from that school no one has ever heard of, it’s up to the individual to make the most of the opportunities they are given, work hard, and pursue their goals".
Parents can not do it for them - even though you think you can. AAP does not indicate future success -- Chillax all you uptight nut cases! |
AAP may not indicate future success, but it can keep your kid from being incredibly bored with their schoolwork |
Troll's back. Just ignore. |
Your chances with the WISC are very good, I have been told anything above 130 is good.
