I am sorry. ![]() You need to have new information to appeal. Best bet is likely a WISC if you can afford it. (Cost will be roughly $350 - $500.) GMU does WISC testing or you could opt for a private psychologist. Call very soon (tomorrow?) as you will need time to make the appointment, have the testing done, and get the report back. Thank you so much for your help and tips. I shall try WISC. I am new from Michigan. No clue on WISC. I shall read the link you sent to understand WISC. Does it require any preparation? I heard about CogAt preparation few months back. I wished I had known this earlier. Anyway, WISC might be best option. No harm in trying. Thank you again. |

Question...
137 verbal 130 quantitative But non verbal only ..... 112....,child has been diagnosed with visual perceptual disability in feb. Has a 504 now...I am confused. Should the non verbal score get thrown out, or do I need a WISC? Student was not accepted, do I appeal, if I get a high score on WISC? Or stay put and hope for the best. |
Also, GBRS was a 14. |
Definitely appeal. Get a WISC. Your kid is 2e and needs a private psychologist to tease out the true IQ. |
