wootton or Quince Orchard?

If you aren't super-student, you will not fit in at Wootton. They can suffer socially and that can lead to behavioral problems. Goodness knows I have a lot of Wootton juvenile delinquents in my neighborhood. Skipping school, smoking weed, selling drugs, getting DWIs. It may not be anywhere near as bad at Wootton as it is in some other schools, but I think kids have a better shot at finding a good, positive social niche at QO.

Last quarter, 55% of QO kids made honor role. 65% of kids made honor role at Wootton. 55% at Walter Johnson. 69% at Whitman. 55% at BCC. It's not like QO is shabby or anything. Good students will get an excellent education at any of these schools.

I am not sure this true. WJ is unranked this year but the scores are still higher. That said, I always laugh at the 4w designation. WJ is not at the other 3's level.

That's the deal for whatever its worth. Q O is your all American high school. Good at sports and as good as your kid makes it in academics. Never heard of anybody getting picked on, the kids are really nice to each other in general . Tons if school spirit and a cool location.

Really? State champs in boys soccer, strong in lacrosse, baseball, top 2-3 in the county in track with several kids recruited to run at D1 colleges next year including Harvard, etc. Probably other sports too. My kids are at a rival school and Wootton is our toughest competition, except in football which is QO.

^^^^ in the last 25 years QO has like 40 state championships . Wootton like 5.

Not to beat a dead horse,

here is the US News ranking information, WJ definitely has higher scores and college readiness.
