wootton or Quince Orchard?

Looking to move. Attempting to avoid Churchill and RM. Would consider WJ and probably not Whitman. I went to Wootton and am familiar with it. I know we can afford a house in the Wootton and QO area, however, I know nothing about QO. What kind of a high school is it--high pressure, sports focused, good for kids with needs (or not)?

I think Wooten is a better school, hands down.

I prefer Quince Orchard. It doesn't get the same scores, of course, but the culture of the school feels more well-rounded.

QO is the closest to an ideal American high school than you can get. Safe, well-run, best school spirit in the county, great sports program, involved parents and Booster Club. Unlike most other high schools graduates come back years later to visit their teachers and attend football games.

OP - just curious, why do you want to avoid Churchill and Whitman?

OP here. Whitman seems to still be the pressure cooker it was 25 yrs ago. I have one kid who will not fare well in that environment. I'm not crazy about Churchill in general from things I've heard, then and now, about teachers and students there.

Wow, good to hear. We already live in QO district and I know it is a decent school but nice to hear so many good things about it.

We really like WJ. I think it is a bit more solid academically, yet more well rounded than Whitman or Churchill.

*meant WJ is more solid academically than QO*

Wootton hands down but I too would pick QO over Churchill and RM. I say find a neighborhood you like in either 2 and you will be happy.
