Where did you grow up and where in the D.C. area do you now live?

| Grew up in a medium sized city in Wisconsin (about 100,000 people). Went to undergrad at GWU and lived on or near campus. Moved away for a couple of years and came back in my mid 20's and lived in the U Street Corridor. Am gone again but now trying to decide where to live with husband and hopefully baby when we move back next Spring. Deciding between Silver Spring/Takoma Park, Del Ray or anywhere we can afford to buy something with a small yard in the city. |

I grew up in Alexandria. Lived in Rosemont from birth through college, then moved to Old Town after graduation. Lived in Old Town for 10 years, got married and still lived in Old Town. We moved to Northern California a few years later, then we moved back to NoVa with kids.
Surprised ourselves by choosing North Arlington, and we love it here. Several parks within walking distance, better schools, better planning for growth, shorter commute for DH - just terrific. |
