Those giant flower headbands on infants are hideous

She doesn't, however, care in the least what any of you think of it. Nor do I.

And to the poster who added: "most of the infants are hideous as well" - I'm fairly sure that my daughter has better manners and judgment than you at 3 months.

Thanks for the wonderful exchange on this Wednesday morning.

Train wreck alert!

Wow, you have a strange definition of "train wreck." It's umm, a headband, not a reflection of bad parenting. I generally try not to judge parents on how they dress their children or on how they defend their choices. This whole thread is out of control.

Some are hideous; some are not. The photo posted earlier seems kinda cute for a special occasion.

Is there a correlation between educational levels and those who buy this shit?

Are you suggesting that highly educated women buy it? Bc I have a PhD.

Wow, awesome. Me too. They are fairly pricey, so pp makes a reasonable assumption

Op has way too much time on her hands. (I have time to read this stuff bc I'm nursing my newborn)whom I would have wear a headband. Maybe op is jealous bc she doesn't have a baby girl.

Aww, c'mon. They're kinda cute, for special occasions. My daughter had a full head of hair from Day 1, and I never really felt the need to adorn it. She needed barrettes by 3 months, and that satisfied my dollbaby urges. But if I'd had a little cueball, I might have been tempted by something like this. Not for everyday. Just for a photo op or something.

Though, I must admit... having spent a bit of time on babycenter.com... yes, there probably is a non-flattering correlation between parental education level and number of headbands owned by female offspring. Probably also applies to miniature football jerseys owned by male offspring.

Honestly, I don't have enough of an opinion on this kind of thing to start a whole thread.

What I DO have an opinion on is why there isn't more green or red clothing in the girls' department.

Thank you! I don't necessarily mind pink, but couldn't a company offer a lot more color choices than just pink and purple? I have found some good stuff at Old Navy for girls that is not either of those colors!

And to people who buy clothes for their pets.

And to women who start "Why do you look so awful?" threads.

Do these silly, uncomfortable looking, head bands have to do with determining gender for strangers because I only see them on girls. Just put them in pink or a sticker that says, "I'm a girl."

I have a master's degree and I think they're cute.
