Why?

So do you guys require potential friends to have graduate degrees?

Ha Ha! I had to take a Xanax once to go to Potomac. No joke.

Top 25 undergrad (Ivy + little Ivy + MIT/Standford/Northwestern etc). Definitely at least one graduate degree, sometimes 2. Law is usually one of them.

Absolutely work full time, downtown. Nanny. Nanny works 55 hours a week because she AND DH have the kind of jobs that don't "flex." Makes nanny do all the shopping at Whole Foods. Nanny takes children to instrument lessons, chess, playdates. Nanny might also take DCs to Dr. appointments and "special friend day" at school.

Children equally divided between public and very top privates (vs. statusy country club private).

>> sorry, more. Mom is somewhat older, definitely have kids at 30. She is typically white but not WASP. There is a good chance she is Jewish, higher than the metro population at large.

She is not fashionable, but also not dowdy. Just ... Banana or Ann Taylor and Macy's. Does not wear big rock, would not fly with uber-serious downtown job.

If it makes you feel any better, many of those commercial real estate types cheat on their wives. Many.

Money, power, . . . leads to those sorts of antics. Once one of them starts, the herd follows.
