Where does this mom stereotype live?

Unlikely graduate degree? Or graduate degree unlikely?

If it's an unlikely graduate degree, what about Masters in Medieval History.

Good point. Graduate degree, unlikely. Not "unlikely" grad degree e.g. Medieval History.

"Rode hard and put up wet."
If you're going to use it, use it correctly.

Yes, the sentiment is the same. But I remember that is the correct phrase.

McLean: Husband a lobbyist, perhaps you were too or in tech. Need to lose 10 lbs. Frumpy. Quilted coats and mom jeans. Not fashionable and not likely to go out for "ethnic" food. DC is too far after work hours. Dream for kids to go to UVA. Tech will do in a pinch. Vera Bradley and L. Pulitzer and a little Vineyard Vines mixed in for fun. Husband wears khakis with pleats.

Have you actually been to McLean?? Or is this just what you think? Because that's not even close to the people that I know here, and I hardly know where to start correcting...

That sounds more like McLean/North Arlington. But it's not due to nanny, it's because of the postings or the schools, and a little help from nanny/au pair/mom/dad.

Really? McLean? I guess I'm missing something. When I think Mclean I think govt law work, public school for kids (they swear the schools are so great), late model japanese car (not the luxury kind), live off Westmoreland, not very attractive, wishes they made more money and could live in Great Falls/Spring Valley/Potomac. Thats the reality of McLean which is so less sexy than the hype.

Where are the nice moms and dads in this area?

Potomac woman does not have a graduate degree. Are you kidding? It was undergrad then hitting the DC circuit to find the husband to make that stereotype come true.

Ewwww, Potomac is sounding bad here. So glad I'm not there. I was invited to a party there once and was too afraid to go.
