This post was started and fanned by someone who has so much animosity towards Sidwell that they were either rejected by the school or were once part of the community and have now left. There are very few candidates but it will take some time to narrow down the list. However, it's safe to say that they have left clues on this board and others that make it a safe bet that their parents will likely be getting a call soon. The worst case scenario is that it is their parents themselves.

Holton/Landon parent here. Sidwell parents you have my sympathies. Every school has issues. We all just try to find our way and do whats best for our children. My DC's are thriving in their schools and we are happy with their experience. However, if Sidwell wasn't so far from us I would love to have my DC's go there.

As someone who has strong affiliations with Sidwell, Landon and STA, I find it troubling that there are a few Sidwell defenders who feel that Landon is at the heart of any negative post, or at least try to deflect potentially legit Sidwell critiques by dragging Landon down. In Landon's world, what small space Sidwell occupies is characterized by respect and not jealousy. Landon is more concerned with Prep and STA. STA more with Landon and Sidwell. Sidwell mroe with Maret and GDS. As for the OP, it is obviously sensationalized and false, probably from a teenager. Best to ignore and wait for the thread to be removed.

Sidwell has ugly students? How can any generalizations that broad be considered valid? Looks don't factor into a school's admissions process, so this really doesn't make sense. I'm sure there are students at all private schools that would be considered very attractive, and some that wouldn't. Sidwell included.

What's more sad is that this was even brought up. How low can these Sidwell bashers sink? This is getting almost as cruel and gratuitous as the Landon bashing.
