Look at the stats on UGA’s blog for OOS. Somebody is wrong and I’m guessing the self reported Naviance is wrong or skewed due to a recruited athlete or something like that. |
Thanks country club cuck! |
How you dress is a reflection of self esteem. You can look great in a thrift store outfit. Sorry you missed that lesson or just don’t feel good about yourself. |

we did the tour a few years ago and it was our kids top choice at the time and after the tour a few things turned them off and decided to go someplace else and yes they got in to UGA.
the shuttle bus for the tour made the campus seem a lot larger. the homeless people the size of the campus the greek life was at a different level. Stayed with a friend in a house and nobody seemed to know anyone. the whole go dawgs sic em thing |

It's not a rigorous school, similar to many SEC schools. SEC schools are known for good times, southern women, sports culture and greek life.

My kid graduated from MCPS 4 years ago. Even then, the Naviance data was pretty clearly old for several schools. If you can filter based on year of graduation, that's a better representation. Naviance data is self-reported, so the user has no idea about much of anything, quite honestly, other than MCPS GPA and maybe test scores. (And if the student reported an accurate response for their acceptance.) The Georgia official report, linked elsewhere in this thread, for OOS is a much better source. |
Yeah, sure. UF, Vandy, UGA and Texas must be the same as Bama and Ole Miss in your pea sized brain. Your ignorance is showing. |
Where did he end up? Doesn’t sound like UGA was really even close to what he wanted, and that’s okay. |
Don't confuse that poster's fantasy with facts. |
Same. Also, my kid did not find Athens all too great. |
UGA is closer to Bama and Ole Miss than Vandy, UT-Austin and UF |
Cite? |
The fantasy is a 1200 getting in UGA. UGA kids are smart and fun. Sorry your kid is either a nerd or dumb. |
| 1200 can get in at UGA, bottom 25% is 1220-1300. It's not an academically hard school with lots of grade inflation. |
|
920 is the minimum SAT score allowed at UGA. They for sure take kids sub 1200 excluding the usual sub par athletes.
They do cap oos admits to roughly 20% so I am sure that oos admits without hooks need higher than 1200. |
