Is the school really that rigorous or has it just gotten extremely popular because of football, Greek life, and weather, leading to a low acceptance rate?

+1 OOS is extremely hard. We know several top kids that didn’t get in.

Depends what you mean by 'extremely' I guess....I think that would suggest single digit OOS admit rate. Perhaps single digit OOS acceptance rates could get a "impossible" category then.

For this year’s EA group, the EA acceptance rate for In-State applicants was roughly 42%, and the acceptance rate for Out-of-State applicants was roughly 23%

Oh please. 77% of OOS applications were rejected. Go away if you don’t have anything useful to contribute.

I thought stating accurate facts would be useful especially since PP stated it was similar to HYP for admissions for OOS. I didn't want to deter any parents from having their kid apply based on such assertions.

No, that's not true. My kid in MoCo is also interested in UGA. Naviance showing lots of acceptances of kids with mid-1200s SATs and 3.8 unweighted GPA.
