I don’t think so. I think that it’s really more about Americans feeling like Israel takes a tremendous amount of money and resources from the United States and basically just does what they want. So while many people have sympathy for Gazans many more just don’t like Israeli’s. I don’t think that being against the actions of Israel is necessarily antisemitism it definitely is giving antisemitic people like Tucker Carlson a “respectable” thing to criticize. |
This is way deeper than Gaza. The Epstein/Israel connections and overall awareness of foreign agents like AIPAC in American politics is out of the dark. Gaza helped bring a light to Israel's danger - but it's much, much deeper. The younger generation knows this. |

It’s true, there used to be a lot of sympathy towards Israel. But Bibi is a huge problem. My understanding is Israel doesn’t like Bibi either. I’ve started to view Bibi as another trump, hated by the people and corrupt.
Get rid of Bibi and I’ll reconsider Israel. |
Good catch. |
Well I am my riding the line between not really a Baby Boomer but designated as such, and wish all the Mellennials well, and hope that Gen Z children DC have a world to be proud. And yes, the older BB need to step aside. The late born BB and Gen X have not reached social security retirement eligibility. |
The poll questions are difficult to interpret. My sympathies lie more with Palestinians, and that's how I would have answered the question. But my sympathies because they've been wrecked by Israel's retaliation over the inexcusable Hamas attack. And Israelis are by and large safe in their daily lives. But just like the Middle East itself, my feelings are complicated. I still feel Israel has a right to exist. I still feel Hamas is evil. I still feel Palestinian people are largely victims. I still want a two-state solution. I still disagree with Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory. I still hate the authoritarian leadership of Netanyahu. |
+1 Having sympathy for Palestinians doesn’t automatically translate to advocating for the destruction of Israel. |
I appreciate that people have sympathy for the Palestinians but it seems clear at this point that the “two state solution” was also propaganda and there’s no actual plausible way it can ever happen. There will only ever be one state, and either the Palestinians will be part of it or it will continue to be an apartheid regime. |
+1000 Israel has never wanted a two-state solution. What Israel says and does are two very different things. One state is the only solution. An ACTUAL democracy, where all people are equal. Where Jews are safe and free, but not a "Jewish state." Everything Israel accuses the Palestinians of (expelling Jews, for example) has been an action done by Israel. It is not a Netanyahu problem. It is not a Jewish problem. But it IS an Israel problem. |
It is foolish to think that Israel would ever want a one state solution because that would mean Palestinians being treated as equals and having a majority in the state. The reality is they is really think of Palestinians as less than dogs and treat them accordingly. |
Agree. However we know that Netanyahu and his followers will never allow the Palestinian people eqaulity and true citizenship, so there's that. |
The reality is this was never about just Palestine but wanting to colonize the entire region. Huckabee admitted it |
That would assume Palestinians allow their OWN people equality in the first place, which of course, they do not. Funny how you continue to omit these facts. |

Isn’t it also a welfare haven for breeders who don’t want to work (ultra Orthodox Jews)?
Palestinians in the West Bank take the bus to work in Israel passing plenty of orthodox families who don’t work |
Humans have human rights, even humans who do not share your values or religion. Even if someone has abhorrent views they still have the right to be a citizen of a country and not be starved in an open air prison. I hope this helps. |
