Then point is to make life miserable for those people by adding just one more awkward interaction for them to have on a regular basis. Somehow, that will make trans people go away.

So this is all about not making people feel awkward?

What public safety purpose does it serve?

It’s recognizing reality and biological fact. You’re assuming these people actually look like someone of the opposite gender.

You didn’t answer the question. What functional purpose does this serve? Whose life is improved by this?

Everyone in Kansas’s life in some small way. Because their government has stopped this bit of fraud.

Please explain. You mean that some people can feel a sense of satisfaction at the expense of other people?

It improves people’s lives to get some indication that they are not living in the twilight zone when it comes to state laws.

It’s no harder for them than anyone else else. You show up at the DMV, take the test, fill out paperwork and you’re done for 5 years or so.

No. Be more specific. What benefit does this create for other people?

They literally invalidated trans people’s licenses over night. It’s illegal for them to drive to the DMV to get a new license. How does that improve anyone’s life?

Well it’s illegal for my 16 YO to drive there alone too, before she has a license.

That’s because she hasn’t yet proved to the state that she’s capable of driving safely. Totally different situation.

What happens to intersex people in situations like this? Sure, sometimes it’s just chromosomes (like XXY) and most of them tend to fit closer with one sex or the other. But that’s not true 100% of the time.

Not a valid comparison. These are grown adults who HAD drivers licenses that they need to get around for work and life. No, suddenly, they don’t. What are they supposed to do? They can’t even drive to the DMV to fix the problem.

Now answer the damn question. What good does this do ANYONE? All it does is make one set of people worse off. The only benefit you’ve described is that it creates some smug sense of satisfaction among people like you because the stage is now enforcing your personal idea of how other people should be forced to think of themselves. That’s pathetic.

No, it’s because she doesn’t have a valid drivers license that correctly reflects who she is. And neither do these people.

Trans people had valid drivers licenses. Then the state changed the law and declared them immediately invalid. How does that benefit anyone? Explain it.

Answer the question. What benefit is there to ANYONE to immediately strip trans people over their license so that they can’t even drive to get new ones?
