Keep in mind that driving is a privilege, not a right. The state can confiscate your license at any time.

How does this make sense? If you present as a female, but were born a male, and you get a new license that identifies you as a male, won’t that visual disconnect be confusing for anyone who has to check the ID? They might think it’s a fake.

Not really. Strange thing about state granted privileges. Once you have them, they cannot be arbitrarily or capriciously revoked. There is a due process element at play.

Maybe their votes don't make a much of a difference, but if the GOP is willing to strip the rights of one class of people, and others don't stand up to it, then it opens the door for the rights of others to be trampled. If you’re fine handing more power over to people who carried out genocides or who handed trans people and immigrants over to fascists, it’s time for a real reckoning with yourself and your supposed values.

No it won’t be confusing. 99.9 % of the time the birth sex is completely obvious to everyone. Sorry.

Driver’s licenses indicate one’s sex, not gender. If someone puts the gender they identify as on their DL, and it doesn’t correspond to their sex, that’s fraud.
