St. Mary’s posted the scrimmage score as 12-8 on their Instagram. Why they would post a scrimmage score is the next question.

Athletes is the identity of that school, it makes sense.

Still does not make sense to post a scrimmage score. It’s a scrimmage. Smells a bit of desperation…which tracks.

And they did it again after Good Counsel today. Tagging the pollsters too. Pathetic.

Not very classy. Aren't scrimmages usually used to try out all players, combinations, etc?

They, apparently, are also for hitting girls so hard in the face that they knock out teeth for St. Mary's.

And no yellow card given.

The ref missed it, they reacted to the injured girls reaction which is why there was a foul in the first place. I’ve seen more dangerous plays before but shame kid got hurt, wasn’t intentional

Fouls aren't about intention. I suspect most checks to the head aren't intentional, or at least I hope so.

The kid had teeth knocked out, she was clearly hit in the face and that is an automatic yellow card. That's extremely poor officiating to miss that.

Even if they missed it, which is odd because it was an on-ball foul, after seeing her teeth knocked out, they should have thrown the yellow card, albeit late, but would have been the correct call.

Agreed. The foul didn't look intentional, however the girl who gave it has a history of giving reckless fouls.

The ref didn’t miss it..it was a freak accident. The attacker dipped her head at the same time the defender held ground - attackers face hit defender and then her own stick.

Wow…who picks on a kid? An adult with no life…guessing never played lacrosse either. The player is an aggressive player but far from reckless.

Are rosters larger than normal? Seems everyone near or above 30 spots this year. Seemed only a few like NDP, MV, were that high but seems to be the norm now.
Anonymous
NDP is always 35 or more.

Maryvale started keeping over 30 the last two years. I think they have 34.

McDonogh usually caps at 28 but list injured players who are out for the year and managers on the roster. SPSG is usually the same.

I think most schools other than NDP and Maryvale are under 30.

I think SM at 34?

Crazy. Only 18 will play.

DeMaio telling girls they won’t play but they can be the best cheer squad and say they are on varsity.

Some good matchups early.

STAB v Roland Park
STAB v St Mary’s
Saints v Roland Park
SR v McDonogh
